Dr. Kristopher Skromme
Dr. Skromme attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and has been practicing comprehensive optometry for over 10 years in Ventura, CA. He graduated with clinical honors from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, receiving numerous academic scholarships and prestigious awards for outstanding clinical performance.
He completed advanced clinical internships at leading eye care clinics and medical centers across the nation. In 2014, he earned the California Optometric Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year Award. Dr. Skromme was also named 2014 Optometrist of the Year in the Tri-County area for delivering exceptional eye care, dedication to his patients, and active contributions to the optometric profession.
Dr. Skromme is past president of the Tri-County Optometric Society which represents approximately 300 eye doctors in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties.
In 2012, Dr. Skromme traveled to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti on a mission trip with a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life by providing cataract surgeries and optometry to those in need in war-torn and disaster-stricken areas. Dr. Skromme is married and has 4 young children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with the family and playing sports.

Dr. Morgan Ruiz
Associate Optometrist
Dr. Ruiz was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, where she began her undergraduate studies at Santa Barbara City College and earned a spot on the President's Honor Roll. She then transferred to the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), earning her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.
After graduating from UCSB, she earned her Doctorate of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in Fullerton, CA. During her time at SCCO, Dr. Ruiz received the Hispanic Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Clinical Patient Care and was an active member of the Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK) International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Ruiz has worked in the optometry field for over 10 years, gaining deep experience across every level of patient care starting as a medical receptionist and optometric assistant in private practices before becoming a doctor. Today, she is passionate about serving as a trusted family optometrist, providing comprehensive eye exams and helping patients achieve clear vision and long-term eye health every day.
Previous experience includes seeing patients in various settings such as San Diego Naval Medical Center, the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Las Vegas, NV and an Indian Health Site in New Mexico. She has also worked at practices in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara and Ventura County.

Dr. Ruiz is glaucoma certified in the state of California. She was on the board of the Tri-County Optometric Society (TCOS) from 2014 to 2016 where served as Vice President and then President. During that time she received the Young Optometrist of the Year Award in 2016. She loves spending time at the beach, in the outdoors and with her family and friends.
Dr. Natalie Fetchen
Associate Optometrist
Dr. Fetchen earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. She completed her advanced clinical training at Hayward Wellness Center, Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Valley, and the San Francisco VA Medical Center, developing a strong expertise in ocular disease management and primary eye care.
Dr. Fetchen provides comprehensive vision care for patients of all ages, including routine eye exams, prescription multifocal and specialty contact lens fittings, and the diagnosis and treatment of complex ocular conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. She also provides pre- and post-operative co-management for LASIK and cataract surgery procedures.

Gina
Gina has been an integral part of our Two Trees Optometry family in Ventura for over 19 years! She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly SLO) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry. Her strong work ethic, organizational leadership, and commitment to patient satisfaction help maintain the smooth daily operations, high administrative standards, and overall clinical integrity of our premier optometry practice.
Mariana
Mariana has been working in the optical field for 10 years. As one of our most experienced and knowledgeable opticians, she is dedicated to handling all of your eyewear needs. From optical problem solving and precise frame fitting to keeping up with the latest prescription glasses, designer frames, and advanced lens technology in the market, she has you covered. Mariana spends most of her free time playing soccer with friends, attending sporting events, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her son. She also loves everything Disney!
Sherri
Sherri has been an essential part of the Two Trees Optometry practice in Ventura for over 15 years! She began her career as an Optometric Technician and now serves as our primary Front Desk and Insurance Specialist. She ensures that all patient registration, vision insurance benefits, and required documentation for your eye care appointments are organized and in order. With her warm personality, contagious smile, and bright spirit, she brings a reassuring touch to our workplace. Outside of the office, Sherri enjoys expressing her creativity through various crafting projects.
